For details about the setting items in the Operational Content Editing Window that are subject to replacement, see the manual JP1/Navigation Platform Setup and Operations Guide.

You can simultaneously replace character strings inside an Operational Content as follows:

  1. On the toolbar, click the Replace button.

  2. In the search string text box and the replacement string text box in the Replace window, type in a string before replacement and a string after replacement, respectively, which must not exceed 256 characters.

You cannot specify the following characters:

    • Control characters (ASCII codes 0x00 to 0x09, 0x0B, 0x0C, 0x0E to 0x7F)

  3. In the Replace window, click the Replace button.

All the character strings for the items within an Operational Content that are subject to replacement are simultaneously replaced with the specified character string. Afterwards, the number of character strings replaced is displayed along with a message notifying the completion of replacement (KDCZ00345-I message).

Under the following circumstances, an error occurs and the simultaneous replacement of character strings is not performed:

    • The character string before replacement or the one after replacement contains control characters (ASCII codes 0x00 to 0x09, 0x0B, 0x0C, 0x0E to 0x7F).

    • The specified character string before replacement or the one after replacement exceeds 256 characters.

    • An empty character is specified as the character string before replacement.
