3.6.6 Items in the Attribute Settings window (Process Node)

Figure 3‒3: Attribute Settings window (displayed from a Process Node)

[Figure]

The following describes the items in the Attribute Settings window.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Node name text box

Enter the node name. An error occurs in the following cases:

Cautionary note:
  • The Process Node names placed after a Branching node are used as the transition button labels (names) displayed in the lower right of the guide area in the Operational Content Execution Window. Therefore, note that if a node name is too long, the button name is not displayed completely.

The following shows an example of Process Node names displayed as button names.

    [Figure]

(2) Image URL text box

Enter the path to the image file you want to display on the Process Node. Specify a file in the format that can be displayed on the web browser.

Note

If you want to use an image file displayed in the File Management/Registration window, clicking the Set URL button automatically sets into the Image URL text box the path to the image file you want to display on the process node.

The displayed image is enlarged or reduced according to the size of the Process Node, however, the aspect ratio is not retained. Therefore, we recommend that you first adjust the image size to fit in the Process Node. At this time, make sure that the image size is smaller than the Process Node size by 6 pixels in each dimension. To change the size of the Process Node after placing the image, consider deterioration of image quality due to enlargement or reduction.

The following describes the URL format you can enter. The path format you can specify varies depending on whether the file to be used is stored on the web server for Navigation Platform, or any other web server.

To specify a file stored on the web server for Navigation Platform:

Specify a relative path from the content storage directory on the web server (Navigation-Platform-installation-directory\PP\uCPSB\httpsd\htdocs).

The following example shows how to specify an image file named ucnp.gif that is stored in the images directory created under the content storage directory on the web server:

/images/ucnp.gif

To specify a file stored on a web server other than for Navigation Platform:

Specify the file in protocol://host-name:port-number/file-path format.

  • protocol: http or https

  • host-name: Host name or IP address of the web server

  • port-number: Port number of the Web server

  • file-path: Path to the file stored on the Web server

The following example shows how to specify an image file named image1.gif stored in the images directory on the Web server using the HTTP protocol, host name host1, and port number 55555:

http://host1:55555/images/image1.gif

An error occurs if you specify the following characters in the image file path name:

Note

You can change the background color of Process Nodes for each status by changing system settings. If the color of a placed image and the color of the Process Node frame are too similar to be distinguished, ask the system administrator to change the background color of the Process Node.

(3) File Management/Registration button

Clicking this button opens a separate window that is the File Management/Registration window.

(4) Node ID text box

Enter a node ID that uniquely identifies the node, by using 20 or fewer single-byte characters. Use the Node ID text box to change the node ID that is set automatically.

An error occurs in the following cases:

Cautionary note:

If you specify an empty character string for the node ID, the node ID is disabled.

(5) Front/back order text box

To display this node behind or in front of other components, specify the order from the front, as a single-byte number in the range from 1 to 100. Enter 1 to bring the node to the front. Enter 100 to send the node to the back. If you enter 71 or a greater value, this node is displayed behind the relation lines that overlap the node.

The default is 1. A node that is newly added is displayed at the front.

Cautionary note:

Image parts are always displayed behind other nodes and parts. Even if you specify a value in the Front/back order text box, you cannot move this node behind image parts.

(6) Hide the Back button check box

If you select this check box, the Back button is no longer displayed on the Guide. This check box is not selected by default.

Tip
  • If this check box is selected for the Process Node that is placed at the end point of the Operational Flow, you cannot return to a previous node after an operation is completed. Therefore, the correct date and time when the operation terminated is output to the operation log. This is useful if you want to use the operation log to analyze the time that an operation terminated. For details about whether the operation log can be obtained, contact the system administrator.

  • Hiding the Back button prevents plugins placed in the guide area of the node from being re-executed. For example, if you want the plugins placed on Node A be executed only once, such as plugins for sending emails and updating data, hide the Back button for Node B.

Cautionary notes:
  • Depending on the settings specified during system construction, the Back button is always hidden, and therefore, the setting of this text box is invalid.

  • If you place a Process Node for which the Back button is hidden, be aware of functional differences from Terminal Nodes. For details about the functional differences, see 3.4 Notes on creating the operational flow area.

(7) Back button name for this node text box

Enter the name of the button used for transition from the previous node to this node, by using 40 or fewer double-byte characters. You cannot enter a character string containing control characters (ASCII codes from 0x00 to 0x1F and 0x7F).

If you specify an empty character string, Back is displayed as the button name.

Note that the value entered in this text box is disabled if you select the Hide the Back button check box.

Cautionary notes:
  • If there are multiple source nodes from which transition to this node occurs, you cannot change the Back button name for each source node.

  • If the name specified in the Back button name for this node text box or the node name is too long, the button name might not be displayed completely. In such a case, revise the name specified in the text box or the node name.

If you want to specify a character string exceeding the button width, ask the system administrator to change the button width.

  • Depending on the settings specified during system construction, the Back button is always hidden, and therefore, the setting of this text box is invalid.

(8) Next button name for the previous node text box

Enter the name of the button used for transition from the previous node to this node, by using 40 or fewer double-byte characters. You cannot enter a character string containing control characters (ASCII codes from 0x00 to 0x1F and 0x7F).

If you specify an empty character string, either of the character strings shown below is displayed for the button name.

Cautionary notes:
  • If there are multiple source nodes from which transition to this node occurs, you cannot change the Next button name for each source node.

  • If the name specified in the Next button name for the previous node text box or the node name is too long, the button name might not be displayed completely. In such a case, revise the name specified in the text box or the node name.

If you want to specify a character string exceeding the button width, ask the system administrator to change the button width.
