For details including options and return values, see 9.10 npimport command (import Operational Contents). In Section 9.10, replace the command name with nppubimport.
Notes:
The notes below apply only to the nppubimport command. For the notes common to the npimport command, see the notes in 9.10 npimport command (import Operational Contents).
-
If the -f option is specified and an Operational Content with the same Operational Content ID as one at the import source exists in the import target environment, the existing version is not updated. The imported Operational Content is added as the most recent Published Version. If the number of Published Versions exceeds the maximum value (5) due to addition of the version that was imported, the oldest Published Version is deleted.
If the Operational Content to be imported is waiting for publishing to start, the existing version of the Operational Content that is being edited at the import destination is deleted and unlocked, and then the imported data is added as a version waiting for publishing to start.
If the Operational Content to be imported is private and has no Version Being Edited, the imported data is added to the Operational Contents at the import destination as a Version Being Edited. Therefore, the following two sets of data will not match:
-
Data that was exported by the nppubexport command at the export source
-
Data exported by the nppubexport command at the import destination after the data has been imported
-
-
If the command is executed under either of the following conditions, Operational Contents are replaced with the Operational Contents that are exported by the nppubexport command:
-
There is no Operational Content in the import target environment that has the same Operational Content ID as the import source.
-
There are Operational Contents in the import target environment that have the same Operational Content IDs as the import source, and the -d option is specified.
