8.2.2 Notes about specifying property files (applicable to all property files except the service property file)
The following notes apply to specifying all property files except the service property file, where the term space character means a single-byte space, a tab, or a linefeed code:
-
The property file format is that for Java Platform or Standard Edition.
-
Specify a colon (:) or an equal sign (=) between a property key and a value.
-
The supported character encoding is UTF-8.
-
If the character immediately following a property key (excluding space characters) is a colon (:) or an equal sign (=), the characters immediately following the : or = through the last character of the line are treated as the value.
-
If the character immediately following a property key (excluding space characters) is neither a colon (:) nor an equal sign (=), that character through the last character of the line are treated as the value.
-
If a space character is added immediately following a value, that space character is treated as part of the value.
-
If a value contains a colon (:), equal sign (=), hash mark (#), or exclamation mark (!), these symbols are treated as part of the value.
-
None of the Windows reserved device names (CON, AUX, COMn (n: 1 to 9), LPTn (n: 1 to 9), PRN, NUL, and CLOCK$) can be used.
-
If a line begins with a hash mark (#) or an exclamation mark (!), the entire line is treated as a comment.
-
Consecutive space characters at the beginning of a line are ignored.
-
When you specify directories, use \\ or / as delimiters.
Example: ucnp.base.server.auditlog.path = C:\\Program Files\\Hitachi\\HNP\\auditlog\\ucnp_audit
-
All specified values are case sensitive.
