8.1 Property files whose settings need to be specified

The following table lists and describes the property files whose settings need to be specified when the system is configured.

Specifies the Navigation Platform operating environment.

  • Displaying windows

User message properties file

  • ucnp_message_user.properties

  • ucnp_message_user_ja.properties

Customizes messages that are displayed in the Guide area of the Operational Content Execution Window.

  • Messages that are displayed when operations are completed

  • Other messages, such as the message that is displayed when a required check box is not selected

User label property file

  • ucnp_label_user.properties

  • ucnp_style_user_ja.properties

Customizes the character strings that constitute links and are displayed in the header area of the Operational Content Execution Window.

User style property file

  • ucnp_style_user.properties

  • ucnp_style_user_ja.properties

Customizes the set of font options for the Character font drop-down list on the Size Settings tab in the Operational Content Settings window of the Operational Content Editing Window.

Notes:
  • Of the properties specified in the property files listed in the table above, do not edit any properties other than those explained in the subsequent sections.

  • When you configure environments, copy the property files as an administrator. Otherwise, the property files cannot be copied correctly because they will be redirected to user folders. When you change settings, start the editor with Run as administrator, and then edit the property files.

  • When you have edited any of the property files, except for the user setup property file, you must restart Navigation Platform to apply the edited settings to Navigation Platform. Execute the npstart command (start) after you have executed the npstop command (stop).

  • To change or apply the settings specified in the user setup property file, you have to set up Navigation Platform again. To set up Navigation Platform again, follow the procedure described in 4.8 Procedure for implementing user authentication after setting up Navigation Platform except for step 4, which must be substituted by editing the settings specified in the user setup property file.
