6.9.1 File management when storing static files from the Operational Content Editing Window
When the Operational Content Editing Window is used, any static files are stored in the following directory:
Navigation-Platform-installation-directory\PP\uCPSB\httpsd\htdocs\ucnpuserstaticfiles
This subsection explains the operations on and the handling of this directory.
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Managing the disk space
Use the file server resource manager's quota function to prevent a shortage of disk space on the server. Use the quota function to set size quotas for the ucnpuserstaticfiles directory that is used to store static files from the Operational Content Editing Window. Set in ucnpuserstaticfiles a limit value for the amount of data that can be stored, taking into account the server's disk size. By setting the function to send a warning notification before the limit value is reached, you can prevent a shortage of disk space from occurring.
Note that when you delete Operational Contents, the static files that have been used in those Operational Contents still remain. Check periodically the static file storage directory and delete unneeded files.
(2) Managing file accesses
Static files stored from the Operational Content Editing Window can be referenced and deleted by all users who use the Operational Content Editing Window. If you want to manage file accesses for some of the static files, such as by limiting accesses to them, directly store those static files in another directory without storing them from the Operational Content Editing Window.
(3) Notes about operations
-
If an operation is performed on a static file on the server while the same file is being used in the Operational Content Editing Window, the operation is not guaranteed. Also, if you close the window by using the X button on the web browser while upload or deletion processing is underway, the processing might fail.
-
Close the File Management/Registration window before you close the Navigation Platform window. If you have closed the Navigation Platform window by mistake while the File Management/Registration window is open, also close the File Management/Registration window.
