6.8 Updating search data
If you display the Search tab in the Operational Content Execution Window to enable terms used in the Operational Contents to be searched, you need to periodically update the search data that will be subject to search processing. You can use either of the following methods to update the search data:
-
Execute the npupdatesearchdata command manually.
-
Configure the property file in such a manner that the npupdatesearchdata command will execute automatically.
For details about the settings for automatic execution of the npupdatesearchdata command, see 8.4 Specifying settings in the service property file (ucnp_service.ini).
If you do not set the npupdatesearchdata command to execute automatically, execute it manually at the following times:
-
When a new Operational Content has been published.
-
When a published Operational Content has been edited.
-
When a published Operational Content has been deleted or made private.
-
When the npimport command or the nppubimport command has been used to update Operational Contents.
- Tip
-
If you have updated many Operational Contents in the batch mode by using the npimport command or the nppubimport command, we recommend that you execute the npupdatesearchdata command manually to update the search data even when the npupdatesearchdata command has been set to be executed automatically.
