2.2 Linking with external programs
Plugins are required to create Operational Contents that link to external programs and control the input and output of data between them. The following types of plugins can be used in Navigation Platform:

System Plugins (no program development is required)

User Plugins (program development is required)
If you want to exchange data with an external program or database that is not a JP1 product, you must develop a User Plugin. A User Plugin is also required if you want to add functionality for temporary storage of input data.
