4.5.4 Applying the definition information
To apply the definition information, use either of the following methods:
-
Reloading the definition information by using PFM - Web Console
For details about how to reload the definition information from PFM - Web Console, see 4.7.4 Applying the Task information.
-
Restarting PFM - Agent for Service Response and reloading the definition information
If you perform one of the following operations, you need to restart PFM - Agent for Service Response and reload the definition information:
-
Add, change, or delete the definitions by editing the Probe action condition definition file (esp.conf).
-
Add, change, or delete the measurement conditions by directly editing the measurement condition registration file (esptask.xml).
-
Change or delete the IE scenario definitions.
Make sure that you stop PFM - Agent for Service Response before directly editing the measurement condition registration file (esptask.xml). If you directly edit the file while PFM - Agent for Service Response is running, and then perform operations from PFM - Web Console, the edited definition information might be lost.
For details about how to start and stop PFM - Agent for Service Response, see 5.1 Starting and stopping PFM - Agent for Service Response.
