2.4 Determining whether licenses are handled legally
You can determine whether licenses are being handled legally by totaling usage in terms of whether the numbers of licenses being used have exceeded permitted values and whether licenses are being used by the correct users.
There are two ways to manage licenses. One is called total count management, and it is based on comparing the number of licenses held (called owned licenses) with the number of licenses actually in use. The other is called per-license management, and it assigns each license individually.
