6.1.3 Searching for duplicate hosts
You can search for hosts that have the same MAC address, IP address, or host name, but different host IDs. To search for duplicate hosts:

In the System Configuration window, from the Options menu, select Find.
The Find dialog box appears.

Click the Find duplicate hosts tab.

Select a combination of search conditions.
The system will search for hosts that have different host IDs but for which the selected conditions match. If you select multiple conditions, they are joined by AND operators.
- Match MAC address

Searches for hosts that have the same MAC address in the system configuration information.
- Match IP address

Searches for hosts that have the same IP address in the system configuration information.
- Match host name

Searches for hosts that have the same host name in the system configuration information.
- Match case

Select this check box to distinguish between upper and lower case letters when searching for host names.

After setting the search conditions, click Find.
The search process begins, and the search results appear in the Duplicate Host Search Results area. All hosts except the one with the most recent update date are highlighted in the list.
To make the search results more visible, you can resize the Find dialog box by dragging its borders.

Select a host in the Search result area, and then click Jump. Alternatively, double-click the host.
The System Configuration window becomes active, and displays information about the host you selected.
