Job Management Partner 1 Version 10 Job Management Partner 1/Integrated Management - Service Support Configuration and Administration Guide

5.6 Considering registration of Items by email

Items are generally registered in JP1/IM - Service Support from the New item window, but you can also register an Item by sending an email containing the Item to be registered to a specified email address.

Registration of Items by email can be used when you want to allow registration of Items by users who cannot directly operate JP1/IM - Service Support.

For information about environment settings required for registering Items by email, see 8.14 Setting an environment for registering Items by email.

Notes:
  • You can check the execution results of the jssitementrybymail command by viewing the log file (jssitementrybymail_infonumber.log: number is the number of log files). For details, see User log definition file (jp1itementrybymail.conf) in Chapter 12. Definition Files.

  • For an Item registered by email, a user or role that has already been set for the process work board is assigned as the person in charge. Consider the person in charge. Also consider how an Item registered by email will be processed and managed.

  • After you use the JP1/Service Support - Task Service service to register an Item by email, the person in charge is notified by email that an Item has been registered. If you do not want an email notification to be sent, instead of the JP1/Service Support - Task Service service, use the Windows task scheduler and execute the jssitementrybymail command without specifying the -mail option.
