F.2 Procedure for changing the startup information file (jpccomm.ini)
To change the behavior of PFM - Manager, PFM - Agent, or PFM - RM, you must first stop the active Performance Management service on the host where the program is installed, edit and save the startup information file (jpccomm.ini), and then start the service that you previously stopped.
Prerequisites
If you are logged in to PFM - Web Console, you must log out. When you change the startup information file, the Performance Management service on the host is stopped. As a result, for PFM - Manager, operations from PFM - Web Console result in errors. Similarly, for PFM - Agent and PFM - RM, some operations might result in errors.
Procedure

Use the jpcspm stop command to stop the active Performance Management service on the host.

Use a text editor or another editor to open the jpccomm.ini file.

Edit, save, and then close the jpccomm.ini file.

Use the jpcspm start command to start the Performance Management service that you stopped in step 1.
