jpcconf ha import
- Organization of this page
Format
jpcconf ha import -f logical-host-environment-definition-file-name [-noquery]
Function
The jpcconf ha import command imports to the standby node a logical host environment definition file exported from the executing node.
This command can be executed only for a Performance Management product that supports logical host operation. PFM - Manager supports logical host operation. For details about logical host operation of a particular PFM - Agent or PFM - RM, see the chapter in the relevant PFM - Agent or PFM - RM manuals that describes cluster system operations.

Arguments
-f logical-host-environment-definition-file-name
Specifies the name of a logical host environment definition file that was exported by the executing node. If the file name contains spaces, enclose the entire name in double quotation marks (").
-noquery
If this option is specified, the command does not output any query messages that interrupt command execution, making it unnecessary for the user to respond. Specify this option if you want the command to run in non-interactive mode.
The command behavior changes in various situations, as described below:
-
If logical host environments other than the ones specified in the import file exist on the import destination logical host:
A KAVE05400-I message is output. The command continues processing without deleting the existing logical host environments.
-
If new logical host environments have been added to the import file:
A KAVE05401-I message is output. The command creates the new logical host environments.
-
If the services file includes port numbers that are not specified in the import file:
A KAVE05402-I message is output. The command continues processing without deleting those port numbers from the services file.
-
If new port numbers have been added to the import file:
A KAVE05403-I message is output. The command adds those port numbers to the services file.
-
If port numbers for services specified in the import file are different from the port number of those services in the services file:
A KAVE05404-I message is output. The command changes the port numbers in the services file.
Notes
-
To synchronize the environments of the executing node and the standby node in a cluster system, you execute this command at the standby node to import the environment definition file of the logical host environment in the following cases:
-
The logical host environment at the executing node has just been set up or its settings have been changed.
-
Setup of the logical host environment was removed at the executing node.
Note that if executing this command imports an environment definition file of a logical host environment whose settings have been removed, any differences in the previous environment definition from the imported environment definition are deleted from the logical host settings of the executing node.
-
-
If command execution is interrupted by pressing the Ctrl + C keys or by a signal, a predefined return value is not returned. Therefore, you should ignore the return value when the command was interrupted by the Ctrl + C keys or by a signal.
-
If you want to use the health check function, you must enable the status management function of the host that imports the definition file for the logical host environment.
-
When the functionality for setting monitoring-host names is used (the value of Get Host Mode in the Common Section section of the jpccomm.ini file is 1 or 2), the same name as the host name set for the monitoring host name cannot be set for the logical host name.
-
Before you execute this command, stop Performance Management program services on the logical host.

Usage example
This example imports to the standby machine a logical host environment definition file (jp1-ha1.conf) that was exported by the executing machine:
jpcconf ha import -f jp1-ha1.conf
