F.4 Upgrading Performance Management programs
To upgrade Performance Management programs, perform overwrite installations of the Performance Management programs.
To upgrade Performance Management programs:

If NNM linkage is used, stop the NNM linkage facility and ovw.
For details about how to stop a linkage function, see the description of each linkage function in the appropriate chapter.

Stop all services of Performance Management programs on the local host.
For details about how to do this, see the chapter in the Job Management Partner 1/Performance Management User's Guide that describes how to start and stop Performance Management.

Perform an overwrite installation of Performance Management programs over the previous ones.

Set up Performance Management to run.

Restart the Performance Management linkage function.

If PFM - Manager is running on a cluster environment when you perform the upgrade, you must place a shared disk online on either an executing or a standby node. If PFM - Web Console is running on a cluster environment when you perform the upgrade, you do not have to place a shared disk online.
