6.4.2 Changing the storage location of event data
The event data that occurs in PFM - Agent or PFM - RM is managed by the Store database of the Master Store service that PFM - Manager provides.
To change the following storage folders for the event data managed by the Store database, directly edit the contents of the jpcsto.ini file:
-
Installation directory
-
Backup directory
-
Export directory
The jpcsto.ini file is stored in the following locations:
- On physical hosts:
-
- In UNIX:
-
/opt/jp1pc/mgr/store/jpcsto.ini
- On logical hosts:
-
- In UNIX:
-
environment-directory/jp1pc/mgr/store/jpcsto.ini

(1) Items to set in the jpcsto.ini file
The following table lists and describes the label name to be edited and the range of values that can be set in the jpcsto.ini file.

(2) Procedure to edit the jpcsto.ini file
To edit the jpcsto.ini file:
-
Stop the Master Store service of PFM - Manager.
-
Use a text editor or a similar tool to open the jpcsto.ini file.
-
Change the storage locations and other information related to event data.
As needed, correct the part indicated by shading in the following figure.
Notes:
-
Do not enter spaces at the beginning of the coding, or before and after the equals sign (=).
-
A period (.) in the value of each label represents the default storage directory of the Store database of the Master Store service. The default storage directory is as follows:
- On physical hosts:
-
In UNIX:
/opt/jp1pc/mgr/store/
- On logical hosts:
-
In UNIX:
environment-directory/jp1pc/mgr/store/
To store the Store database in a different location, specify the relative path from the default folder, or the absolute path to the location.
-
Create a directory to be specified beforehand to change the installation location of the Store database.
-
The jpcsto.ini file contains the definition information in addition to the information on the database installation directory. Change values only in the Data Section section. Performance Management might not operate correctly if you change values other than the required items.
-
-
Save and then close the jpcsto.ini file.
-
Start Performance Management programs and services.
