2.3.1 Starting the Performance Management services
After installing the Performance Management programs, start each program's service.
For Windows, no operations are necessary because the service is configured by default to start automatically when the OS starts. For UNIX, a startup script must be configured.

When the services for Performance Management programs are started, performance data# collection might start by default depending on PFM - Agent.
