3.2 Installation (in UNIX)

This section describes how to install JP1/AJS3 - Print Option Manager License on a UNIX host.

1. Quit all programs.

   Quit all programs before installing JP1/AJS3 - Print Option Manager License.

2. Run the Hitachi Program Product Installer.

   Install JP1/AJS3 - Print Option Manager License as prompted by the Hitachi Program Product Installer.

   For details on how to use the Hitachi Program Product Installer, see 3.2.1 Using the Hitachi Program Product Installer.

   Note:

   If installation fails and you see a message or other indication that installation failed while using the Hitachi Program Product Installer, check the /etc/.hitachi/.hitachi.log file. Because this file is overwritten every time you start the Hitachi Program Product Installer, we recommend that you back up the file as needed.
