14.3.5 Showing or hiding a tool tip

You can specify whether to display a tool tip when the cursor is placed on an icon in the map area of the Main Scope window and the Sub Scope window. You can also specify whether a comment or the status name is to be displayed as a tool tip.

The procedure for hiding the tool tip is shown below.

Specification

Use the following format:

jajsConsoleCommentIndicate={Yes|No} (return)

Specify No to suppress the display of tool tips when the mouse pointer is positioned at an icon in the map area of the Main Scope window or the Sub Scope window. To display tool tips, specify Yes.

The default is Yes. If you omit this setting, Yes is assumed.

The specification takes effect the next time JP1/AJS3 Console is started.

Example

To suppress the display of tool tips when the mouse pointer is positioned at an icon in the map area of the Main Scope or Sub Scope window:

jajsConsoleCommentIndicate=No (return)

The procedure for specifying whether a comment or status name is displayed as a tool tip is shown below. By default, the system displays comments.

Procedure

To display the status name as a tool tip:

  1. In the Main Scope window, choose Options and then Preferences.

    The Preferences dialog box appears.

  2. In the Preferences dialog box, choose the Window page.

    The Window page of the Preferences dialog box appears.

  3. Select Status name for Display tooltip (Monitoring Mode).

  4. Click the OK button.

    The Preferences dialog box closes. The specification takes effect when the Preferences dialog box closes.
