12.3.3 Monitoring the application

This subsection describes how to monitor applications.

After defining the monitored objects, monitor the application. You can identify the status of the defined business scope and AJS3 unit monitored objects by color.

To monitor applications:

  1. Choose Mode and then Monitoring Mode.

The icon list disappears from the Main Scope window, and the monitoring mode is set.

  2. Monitor the status of the business scope.

If a root jobnet being monitored abnormally ends, the color of the business scope changes in the map area. In the following description, assume that the color of the business scope of Fukuoka branch received order processing changes to the abnormal_end color.

  3. Click the business scope of FukuokaBranch OrderProcessing in the tree area, and then display the status of the AJS3 unit monitored object for Fukuoka branch received order processing in the map area.

The color of the AJS3 unit monitored object for Day_Surveillance has changed to the abnormal_end color. It indicates an error in the root jobnet Daily_Order_Processing.

Supplementary note

When business scopes are used for grouping, the color of the business scope changes according to the status of the lower-level business scope or AJS3 unit monitored object.
