9.1 Creating resource groups

This section describes how to create resource groups in which to group resources by category or other characteristics.

Who can perform this task:

Users in the Admin role

To create a resource group:

  1. In the left pane of the Administration window, click Resource Groups.

  2. In the right pane (Resource Group view) of the Administration window, click the Create Resource Group button.

  3. In the Create Resource Group dialog box, enter a resource group name and, if needed, a description, and then click the OK button.

  4. In the Information dialog box, click the OK button.

The resource group is registered in the list of resource groups in the Resource Group view.

After creating a resource group, assign it to a user group. When you assign a resource group to the user group, the users in that user group are able to access and work with the resources in the resource group.
