6.12 Moving tasks to the History list (archiving tasks)

You can archive tasks that have finished processing, by moving them to the History list. This operation is called archiving. Archived tasks no longer appear in the Tasks list, appearing in the History list instead.

Who can perform this task:

Users in the Admin role, Develop role, or Modify role

To move a task to the History list:

  1. In the left pane of the Tasks window, click All Tasks.

  2. In the right pane (Tasks view) of the Tasks window, select a task you want to archive.

    You can select multiple tasks by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking. To select all tasks, click the Select All button.

    Important note

    Because clicking the name of a task opens the Task Details dialog box, select tasks by clicking in the white area of the task name field.

  3. From the More Actions menu, click Archive Tasks.

  4. Verify the tasks you want to archive in the Archive Tasks dialog box, and then click the OK button.

  5. In the Information dialog box, click the OK button.

The selected tasks are removed from the Tasks list.

By clicking the History menu in the left pane of the Tasks window, you can view the deleted tasks in the right pane (Task Histories view).

Tip

You can also configure JP1/AO to move tasks automatically to the History list, by setting retention periods and maximum retention counts in the property file (config_user.properties).
