1.11.2 Relationship between resource groups and user groups
The following figure shows how resource groups, user groups, and roles relate to each other.
- Resource groups

Only users in the Admin role can manage resource groups.

You can create multiple resource groups.

Each resource group must have a different name.

Every resource must belong to a resource group, but cannot belong to more than one. You can, however, allocate two separate resources with the same parameters to different resource groups.

The built-in resource group All Resources is created automatically when you install JP1/AO.

Only users with User Management permission can manage user groups.

Users can belong to multiple user groups.

You can assign several resource groups to one user group.

AdminGroup, DevelopGroup, ModifyGroup, and SubmitGroup are created automatically as built-in user groups when you install JP1/AO.

You can assign roles to resource groups. Only one role can be assigned to each resource group when assigning resource groups to user groups.
