Job Management Partner 1 Version 10 Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Operation Administration Guide

1.9 Assigning categories

You can categorize services and tasks by purpose, type, and other criteria, and display them in a hierarchy.

You can assign multiple categories to each service and task. This allows you to check the services or tasks that are associated with a specific work task or are the responsibility of a specific operator, as the situation requires.

You can assign categories when you add a service. Tasks inherit the categories of the service from which they are generated.

The following figure shows how you can display services and tasks by category.

[Figure]

Services and tasks that belong to multiple categories appear under each of those categories in the JP1/AO user interface.

In the JP1/AO interface, the left pane shows the categories in a hierarchy (category tree), and the right pane shows the services and tasks that belong to the category selected in the left pane. The user interface only shows services and tasks that are associated with resource groups to which the user belongs.

The following figure shows an example of displaying services by category.

Any category that contains at least one service appears in the user interface. This means that the Tasks list might include categories that do not contain any tasks. Note that you cannot organize the History list by category. You can check the category of a task history under Category in the History list.
