Import a J2EE application (EAR file) that is created using a build file into the execution environment. Note that the methods of importing an EAR file into the execution environment include the method of importing the EAR files in the packaged archive format and the method of importing the EAR files in the exploded archive format. In both the methods, you can use the server management commands or the management portal for importing the EAR files. The import methods for each format of the J2EE application are as follows:

• Importing as a J2EE application of the packaged archive format
  
  • When using the server management commands
    Specify the -f option in the cjimportapp command, and then execute the command. Specify the EAR file in the -f option.
    
  • When using the management portal
    Use the Import J2EE Applications window of the management portal.

  • When using the server management commands
    Specify the -f option and -d option in the cjimportapp command, and then execute the command. Specify the EAR file in the -f option, and the exploded archive of the EAR file in the -d option.
    
  • When using the management portal
    Extract the EAR files once, and then import the files. To import the files, use the Import Application Directory window.
