An Application Server is a product used for building an environment for executing applications mainly on a J2EE server compliant with Java EE 6 and for developing the applications that run in the execution environment. You can use a variety of functionality, such as functionality compliant with the Java EE standard specifications and functionality independently extended on Application Server.
