(1) Changes in version 09-00
- JP1/Software Distribution SubManager has been discontinued, and the software relaying facilities have been integrated into JP1/Software Distribution Client. Additionally, the graphical user interface is no longer supported for the managing server.
- When inventory information is updated on the distribution-destination system or when a new distribution-destination system is added, information on these events is now automatically reported to the higher-level system.
- Products having the integrated model name (model name comprised of multiple products) stored in the Hitachi Integrated CD-ROM can now be packaged.
- Computer names can now be reported as system information.
- The following messages have been added:

- Inventory items (password, shared folder setting status, etc.) that can be collected in the system information have been added.
- Hitachi program products stored on a hard disk can now be packaged.
- The apostrophe (') can now be entered in the user inventory information.
- The system configuration of JP1/Software Distribution can now be used to resolve the address of the distribution-destination system.
- Result files can now be sent immediately to the higher-level system.
- Periodic polling can now be performed from an end workstation.
- The rdsstart command and rdskillsrv command have been added.
- The following messages have been added:

- The AIX maintenance package can now be packaged and distributed.
- A MAC address has been added to the system configuration information.
- The maximum number of clients that can simultaneously connect to JP1/Software Distribution SubManager has been increased from 256 to 9999.
- Clients can now be managed based on host IDs.
- The following messages have been added:

- Messages KDDM0555-E and KDDM1548-E have been modified.
(4) Changes in version 08-00
- Distribution of another company's software is now possible.
- As a result of changing the Windows version of JP1/Software Distribution product suite, descriptions have been added and changed.
- Options have been added to the rdsusrinv command so that software information can be entered on the command line.

(5) Changes in version 07-50
- It is possible to distribute OS patches from the managing server and to apply them to the distributed-destination systems.
- The acquisition of software information was supported for more antivirus products.
- It is possible to specify whether to restart the OS after software is installed in the distribution-destination system.
- It is possible to acquire core files, OS libraries, and other core-related information used for troubleshooting.
- The Cause and Action parts in messages were changed.
- Messages that report syntax errors and other states for the commands of client services were added.
(6) Changes in version 07-00
- It is possible to specify the number of distribution-destination system connections, including distribution-destination systems for which connection is being retried.
- It is possible to prevent the output of patch information when acquiring software information.
- With the addition of support for the software information search functions of Microsoft Office products and anti-virus products in the Windows version of JP1/Software Distribution Manager, a description was added about acquiring permissions when a UNIX version is the lower-level system.
- It is possible for generator tools to issue JP1 events associated with JP1/Integrated Manager - Agent and JP1/Base.
- Messages KDDM0554-W and KDGF1035-E were added.
- Since jobs being executed by systems directly under the relay system can now be canceled and resumed from the Windows version of JP1/Software Distribution Manager, descriptions were added and changed.
- It is possible to restart the computer after installation of the package, when the distribution-destination system is Windows.
- Compatibility with multiservers was added.
- It is possible to identify the cause (lower-level system power off or service not running) when the startup of a lower-level system fails in the Windows version of JP1/Software Distribution Manager.
- With the additions and modifications to the functions of the Windows version of JP1/Software Distribution, the descriptions in the Differences with JP1/Software Distribution for Windows were changed.
