Notes
- If you execute another JP1/Software Distribution Client command or terminate the rdsafbkup command abnormally with the interrupt key during backup processing of a management file, a file mismatch might occur. If such a mismatch occurs, the contents of the management file are unpredictable.
- To make a backup, a work area for backup creation is required. Specifying a directory name in the TMPDIR environment variable creates a file used as a work area under the directory. In this case, specify in TMPDIR a directory that can provide enough free space for storing the backups of all management files to be backed up. For the method of calculating the space required for each management file, see 6.2 Estimating of the disk space and memory requirements. If you specify no directory in TMPDIR, the system creates a work area under the /tmp directory.
- You cannot back up files in the background mode.
