7.1.3 Allocating the temporary package storehouse

JP1/Software Distribution Client automatically creates and manages the temporary package storehouse using the following names:

For systems other than HP-UX:/NETMRDS/RDS/

For HP-UX:/var/opt/NETMDMW/RDS/

The temporary package storehouse is created in the partition where JP1/Software Distribution Client is installed. It is advisable to create a temporary package storehouse in another partition because an increase in the disk space of the temporary package storehouse can affect the operation of JP1/Software Distribution Client. In such cases, mount a different partition in the /NETMRDS/RDS/ directory.
