5.1.4 Creating an installation script file during job registration

To distribute a shared package to a Windows machine, you need to create an installation script file that specifies the installation methods after distribution.

When distributing a package to a Windows machine, display the package attributes and confirm that the package contains an installation script file. If it does not, you can create the desired installation script file in JP1/Software Distribution Client and attach it during job registration. Create the installation script file by editing the following sample file, which is provided by JP1/Software Distribution Client. You can also edit the contents of the existing installation script file.

For systems other than HP-UX: /NETMRDS/rdsprm/SCIFILE

For HP-UX: /etc/opt/NETMDMW/rdsprm/SCIFILE
