4.6.1 Periodic monitoring of the communication condition

JP1/Software Distribution Client (relay system) monitors the length of time used for file transfer with distribution-destination systems. If a distribution-destination system does not respond within the specified length of time, JP1/Software Distribution Client (relay system) assumes that the distribution-destination system is in the non-response status and cancels connection. In this way, the number of distribution-destination systems is controlled so that it does not exceed the number specified as the number of distribution-destination systems that can be connected concurrently (MaxConnectClients) in the client services settings file.

When you are using JP1/Software Distribution Client as a relay system, the disconnection with a distribution-destination system is reported to the managing server. When the disconnection is reported, the job status changes to LINE-DOWN (meaning a communication error).
