2.3.4 Deleting packages

When you repeatedly register resources, periodic maintenance is required so the package storehouse does not become full and the limit of resources that can be registered is not exceeded. Determine the packages that need to be kept for a specific period of time and the packages that do not need to be kept. Then delete the unnecessary packages.

Organization of this subsection
(1) Deleting package by package
(2) Deleting packages in a batch
(3) Deleting the expired packages

(1) Deleting package by package

To delete the packages inside the package storehouse one by one, execute the rdsafrsc -r command.

(2) Deleting packages in a batch

By initializing the package storehouse (i.e., the temporary package storehouse), you can delete all the registered packages in a batch. Two methods are available.

(3) Deleting the expired packages

The expired packages are automatically deleted when the power is turned on for the first time on the applicable day. If the date changes during the system startup, the expired packages are deleted at the first remote installation on the applicable day. To delete the expired packages in a batch in other occasions, execute the rdsclr command of the client services.
