8.5.4 Forcibly completing a split-distribution job

Forced completion means canceling a split-distribution job and transferring the untransmitted packages in the batch mode. To forcibly complete a split-distribution job, in the Job Status window, choose Execute and then Forcibly Complete Split Distribution. From systems directly under the system that forcibly terminates split distribution to the distribution destination systems, a forcibly terminated job transfers unsplit packages in a batch (normal distribution). However, forced completion of split distribution is valid only during processing of split distribution for all systems that are directly under the system that executed the forced termination. Jobs that are suspended or being resumed cannot be forcibly completed.

It is advisable to forcibly terminate split distribution only for the relay system directly under the system that forcibly terminates the split distribution, and to continue using split distribution for distribution of the package to the destination systems under the relay system. If you do it this way, use a Transfer package to relay system job for the same package. Thus, split distribution to the relay system is terminated forcibly (normal distribution is performed), and split packages are distributed to the distribution destination systems under the relay system.
