12.2 Reorganizing the asset management database when Embedded RDB is used

If you use Embedded RDB, Hitachi recommends that you periodically reorganize the asset management database. In Embedded RDB, when records are deleted, the corresponding areas remain unused. When such unused areas increase in the database area, a space shortage might occur in the database.

If the database area usage rate reaches 80% or greater, messages with the following message IDs are displayed in the event log:

In such a case, you might be able to improve the database area usage rate by reorganizing the asset management database.

There are two ways to reorganize the asset management database:

If a message indicating a shortage of database capacity is still displayed after the asset management database has been reorganized, you must extend the size of the asset management database.
