(1) A message such as "Error occurred during command execution. For details, see the log file" is displayed
ASTCIMn.LOG file containing one of the following messages is output to the log folder:
- Datasource name not found and no default driver specified (applicable to Microsoft SQL Server)
- There was no SQL Server or access was denied (applicable to Microsoft SQL Server)
- Connection error occurred (applicable to Microsoft SQL Server)
- Invalid password for authorization identifier HiRDB (applicable to Embedded RDB)
- Could not resolve service name (applicable to Oracle)
- No listener (applicable to Oracle)
- invalid username/password; login denied (applicable to Oracle)
The following are the possible causes:
- One of the following items in the Server Setup dialog box is invalid:
- Login ID and Password under Database Information
- Service Name under Database Information
- JP1/SD database login ID and Password under Link with JP1/SD
- Connection service for JP1/SD database under Link with JP1/SD
Set these items correctly. Also check the database connection settings.
- If the asset management database was created correctly, Connection service for JP1/SD database under Link with JP1/SD in the Server Setup dialog box was set incorrectly.
In the Server Setup dialog box, set Connection service for JP1/SD database correctly under Link with JP1/SD.
- The service that was created when setting the database connection is invalid.
Make sure that the service has been created correctly. Also, check the connection using the test function.
- DBMS is not active.
Start the DBMS.
(2) A message such as "Connection error occurred" is displayed
ASTMESn.LOG file containing one of the following messages is output to the log folder:
- Connection error occurred. (applicable to Microsoft SQL Server)
- Invalid password for authorization identifier HiRDB (applicable to Embedded RDB)
- invalid username/password; login denied (applicable to Oracle)
The following are the possible causes:
- The DBMS server is inactive, shut down, or in the process of stopping.
Make sure that DBMS is running correctly.
- The user ID or password specified for connection is invalid.
Make sure that there was no keyboarding error.
- A DBMS server error caused a timeout.
Check the DBMS operating status.
- The settings in the Server Setup dialog box were not executed.
Specify the necessary settings in the Server Setup dialog box.
- The connection destination is not a JP1/SD database.
Correctly specify the database connection settings and Connection service for JP1/SD database under Link with JP1/SD in the Server Setup dialog box.
(3) ASTMESn.LOG file containing a message such as "Asset No. cannot be automatically assigned." is output to the log folder
In the Server Setup dialog box, if Assign key for asset information under Link with JP1/SD is set to Use asset number, you cannot specify Auto for asset numbers.
Change the asset number setting from the Assign Inventory window, or change Assign key for asset information to Use working key.
(4) A message such as "Initialization failed" is output to the log folder
The operating environment of Asset Information Manager might be corrupted.
Re-install Asset Information Manager.
