By linking to JP1/Software Distribution, Asset Information Manager can manage operation logs from the Operation Log List and Operation Log Total job menus. By using operation logs to investigate user operations, Asset Information Manager can identify which sites have been viewed that are unrelated to work, and which files have been copied. Therefore, it becomes possible to trace operations on a target file should information be leaked. Additionally, by totaling up the operation log information, you can obtain the status for each group.

The figure below shows the asset management tasks that can be executed by linking Asset Information Manager to JP1/Software Distribution.

• Checking user operations by referencing the operation logs collected by JP1/Software Distribution
  By referencing the operation logs stored in the JP1/Software Distribution database, Asset Information Manager can check the operations of the managed devices.
  You can also trace user operations from the file names acquired in an operation log.
  
• Totaling up the operation log information to obtain the status for each group
  By using Asset Information Manager to total up the operation log information that has been stored in the JP1/Software Distribution database, you can obtain the status for each group, such as the number of detected operation logs and the percentage of devices on which operation logs were detected.
