8.3 Information that must be collected in the event of a problem

This section describes the information you need to collect if a problem occurs in JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant.

JP1 provides the data collection tool that collects necessary information in a batch. The information that the data collection tool with the initial settings can collect is indicated in the following table.

(1) Log information about the operating system

You must collect the following log information about the operating system:

Windows Server 2008 do not provide Dr. Watson log files.

The data collection tool obtains the Dr. Watson log file from the default folder. If you have specified another folder, you must set up the data collection tool.

In addition to the listed information, Windows Server 2008 collects various kinds of information about the computer, including hardware, software, and Internet information. It might take several minutes to completely collect the information. Wait until the System Information dialog box closes.

In Windows Server 2008 , you cannot use the data collection tool to collect memory dumps and crash dumps. If you need these dumps, you must collect them manually when a problem occurs. For details about how to collect the dumps, see 8.4(4) Collect a user dump (for Windows Server 2008) and 8.4(5) Obtain a problem report (for Windows Server 2008).

(2) JP1 information

You must collect information about JP1 shown in the following table. You must also collect the files from the monitoring JP1/AJS3 - Manager host or JP1/AJS2 - Manager host.
