5.1.1 Logging in

This subsection explains the procedures for logging in to JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant.

To start JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant from the Windows Start menu:

  1. From the Windows Start menu, perform either of the following:
    • When using SSL transmission
      Choose Programs, JP1_Automatic Job Management System 3 - Web Operation Assistant, and then Web Monitoring All (SSL).
    • When not using SSL transmission
      Choose Programs, JP1_Automatic Job Management System 3 - Web Operation Assistant, and then Web Monitoring All.
    The Login window will appear.
  2. Enter the information necessary for JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant logon (the JP1 user name and password).
  3. Click the Login button.
    The initial Monitoring window appears. If the logon fails, a message indicating such will be displayed, and you will return to the Login window.

To start JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant from a Web browser:

  1. In the address bar of the Web browser, enter one of the following URLs for the Login window:
    • When using SSL transmission
      https://IP-address:port-number/jp1ajs2woa/jsp/Login.jsp

      IP-address: the IP address (host name#) of the host on which JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant is installed.
      port-number: 20339 (The port for SSL transmission for the JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant HTTP server)
    • When not using SSL transmission
      http://IP-address:port-number/jp1ajs2woa/jsp/Login.jsp
      IP-address: the IP address (host name#) of the host on which JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant is installed.
      port-number: 20336 (The port for the JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant HTTP server)

    To specify the host name where JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant is installed, the hosts file or the DNS server must be configured so that the IP address is resolved from the host name.
    The Login window appears.
  2. Enter the information necessary for JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant logon (the JP1 user name and password).
  3. Click the Login button.
    The initial Monitoring window appears. If the logon fails, a message indicating such will be displayed, and you return to the Login window.
