4.1 Using the environment settings to customize the display environment

You can use the user environment settings to customize the batch monitoring environment. Depending on the items to be customized, there are two ways to perform customization:

(1) Defining parameters in the user environment settings file

Environments for each JP1 user are defined in the user environment settings file on the JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant machine. You must define an environment for each user, since users for which no environment is defined in this environment settings file cannot log on to JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant.

The items in the user environment settings file are to be defined by an administrator, not by each JP1 user. Manage the access permissions for the user environment settings file by setting them on the OS level, using Windows NTFS access permissions.

Define the following information for each JP1 user to be logged on, in the user environment settings file:

To apply the information defined in the user environment settings file, you must restart the JP1/AJS3 WOA HTTP Server service and the JP1/AJS3 WOA Web Application Server service.

(2) Changing settings in the User Environment Settings window

JP1 users can customize their environment by using the Web interface. Since environment customization information is saved for each JP1 user, JP1 users cannot inherit other users' environments.
