This subsection describes the procedures for starting up and ending the mail system linkage function.
On a UNIX host, the mail system linkage function is activated together with JP1/AJS3 when the definition information for the mail system linkage is specified in the JP1/AJS3 configuration definition information.
When the mail system linkage is activated, it starts checking for received mail.
The mail system linkage function is terminated together with JP1/AJS3. When JP1/AJS3 is terminated, the mail system linkage function and mail monitoring are also terminated.
