Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Linkage Guide
In JP1/AJS3, you can send email through a mail system such as Outlook or sendmail. You can also define events that are issued upon receiving an email that matches certain conditions.
By linking with a mail system, you can:
- Execute a job when an email matching specific conditions is received.
In this case, define an email reception monitoring job followed by the job you want to execute.
- Use part of the information in a received email in the succeeding job.
In this case, in the email reception monitoring job and the succeeding job, define the information passing.
- Send email to the administrator if a job ends abnormally.
In this case, define an email sending job following that job as a recovery job.
To implement mail system linkage with JP1/AJS3, the mail system (for example, Outlook or sendmail) must be able to interface with the mail server and send or receive email even when JP1/AJS3 is not running.
