15.3.10 Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box (for a root remote jobnet)

The Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box (for a root remote jobnet) defines the details of a root remote jobnet.

This dialog box contains the items displayed in common, and also contains the following pages:

Organization of this subsection

(1) Items displayed in common

The following figure shows the items displayed in common.

Figure 15-21 Items displayed in common in the Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box (for a root remote jobnet)

[Figure]

The following explains the items displayed in common.

Unit name
Specify a unit name. Use a character string of up to 30 bytes. The default is a blank.

Comment
Specify a comment for the unit. Use a character string of up to 80 bytes. The default is a blank.

Exec-agent
Specify the execution agent name or execution agent group name to be assigned the task of job execution. Use a character string of up to 255 bytes. The execution agent name or execution agent group name must already be defined in the JP1/AJS3 - Manager you specified in Target manager.
The execution agent name that is used in the job definition differs depending on whether the execution agent is specified for a remote jobnet and whether the execution agent is specified for a job in the remote jobnet.
The following table shows the value used for each specification.

Table 15-8 Execution agent name to be used in the job definition

Whether the execution agent is specified for a job in the remote jobnet
Yes No
Whether the execution agent is specified for a remote jobnet Yes Execution agent name specified for the job Execution agent name specified for the remote jobnet
No Execution agent name specified for the job Default execution agent name in the JP1/AJS3 - Manager specified in Target manager

(2) Definition page

The following figure shows the Definition page in the Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box.

The following explains the displayed items.

Concurrent exec.
Select whether to concurrently execute multiple jobnets. You can specify Disable or Enable. The default is Disable. If you select Enable, you cannot specify Hold if prev. = 'abend' and Hold if prev. = 'warning' or 'abend' for Hold in the Attributes page.

No. logs to keep
Specify the number of execution result logs to be saved. You can specify 1 to 99. The default is 1. However, to specify the maximum number of logs to keep in the environment setting parameter, you can specify 1 to 999. For details about how to specify the environment setting parameter MAXSAVEGEN, see 2.2 Setting up the scheduler service environment in the Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide 2.

Target manager
Specify the name of the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host to which you want to transfer the root remote jobnet to be run. Use a character string of up to 255 bytes. The default is a blank.

Priority
Specify the priority of a job. You can set None, or 1 to 5. The highest priority is 5. The default is None. If you set None for the priority of a job in a jobnet, the value of 1 is used.
In UNIX, if non-root users execute jobs resulting from mapping, specifying the value of 4 or 5 will result in an authority error at the time of job execution.

Time-out period
Specify a time period after which a time-out should occur if a root remote jobnet registered for execution is not executed on the schedule date. The value is the period of time to pass before the Skipped so not exe. status is set up. The specified value is always effective, irrespective of the registration procedure. For immediate registration, the date of registration is used as the date when execution starts. The default is Use system settings.
You can specify one of the following:
  • Use system settings
Executes the jobnet based on the settings of the EXECDEFER environment setting parameter.
  • 1 day
Suppresses remote jobnet execution if one day has passed since the execution schedule date.
  • 2 days
Suppresses remote jobnet execution if two days have passed since the execution schedule date.
  • Unlimited
Waits for hold release, event or execution for an unlimited amount of time.

Schedule option
Specifies what should happen if the end time of an executed jobnet with Processing cycle defined in the Schedule Rule dialog box exceeds the scheduled start time for the next generation. The default is Schedule skip. You can specify one of the following:
  • Schedule skip
Skips the jobnet execution schedule having the same start time. Then it starts a next-generation jobnet that does not have a conflicting start time.
  • Multi-schedule
Waits until the execution of the current-generation jobnet has been completed, and upon completion, executes the next generation. If Enable is selected for Concurrent exec., executes the next generation at its start time, without waiting for the completion of the current-generation jobnet.

Monitor jobnet
When using the required jobnet execution time to monitor the end delay of the jobnet, select Time-required-for-execution and specify the required jobnet execution time in minutes. You can specify 1 to 2,879. In the default mode, Time-required-for-execution is not selected.

(3) Attributes page

The following figure shows the Attributes page in the Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box (for a root remote jobnet).

The following explains the displayed items.

Hold
Specify whether to place the unit in the hold status in advance. The default is No. You can specify one of the following:
  • No
Does not hold a remote jobnet.
  • Hold if prev. = 'abend'
If the result of the previous root jobnet execution is "Ended abnormally", "Skipped so not exe.", "Invalid exe. seq.", "Interrupted", or "Killed", this option holds the root jobnet. If you select Enable for Concurrent exec. in the Definition page, you cannot specify this option.
  • Hold if prev. = 'warning' or 'abend'
If the result of the previous root jobnet execution is "Ended abnormally", "Ended with warning", "Skipped so not exe.", "Invalid exe. seq.", "Interrupted", or "Killed", this option holds the root jobnet. If you select Enable for Concurrent exec. in the Definition page, you cannot specify this option.
  • Yes
    Holds the remote jobnet.

Type
Set the unit type to Normal or Recovery. The default is Normal.

Owner
Specify the owner of the unit. Use a character string of up to 31 bytes. The default is the login JP1 user name.

JP1 resource group
Specify a JP1 resource group name. Use a character string of up to 63 bytes. You can specify alphanumeric characters and underscores (_). The default is the JP1 resource group name of the upper-level unit. If you set a blank, you are not authorized to access this group.
