14.3.5 Showing or hiding a tool tip

You can specify whether to display a tool tip when the cursor is placed on an icon in the map area of the Main Scope window and the Sub Scope window. By default, the system displays tool tips. You can also specify whether a comment or the status name is to be displayed as a tool tip. By default, the system displays comments.

The procedure for hiding the tool tip is shown below.

Specification
Use the following format:

jajsConsoleCommentIndicate=No (return)
When editing the ajs2coview_opt.conf.model file, you can specify it by deleting # at the head of the option.
The part of jajsConsoleAutoReconnect is case-sensitive. If you specify an incorrect character, it retains the default value (displaying tool tips is enabled).
The part of No is case-insensitive.
The specification takes effect the next time JP1/AJS3 Console is started.

The procedure for displaying the status name in the tool tip is shown below.

Procedure

To display the status name as a tool tip:

  1. In the Main Scope window, choose Options and then Preferences.
    The Preferences dialog box appears.
  2. In the Preferences dialog box, choose the Window page.
    The Window page of the Preferences dialog box appears.
  3. Select Status name for Display tooltip (Monitoring Mode).
  4. Click the OK button.
    The Preferences dialog box closes. The specification takes effect when the Preferences dialog box closes.
