This subsection describes how to relate the jobs, nested jobnets, and jobnet connectors that are defined in a jobnet.

To relate two units:
- In the map area of the Jobnet Editor window, display the jobnet that contains the units you want to relate.
- Select Exclusive edit.
- Click the Make Relation button.
The Make Relation button is now selected.
- Click the icons starting from the first unit to be executed.
When you click an icon, it is selected.
A black or red arrow appears between icons.
- Click the mouse in the desired place in the map area.
The icon that is clicked later is deselected.
- Click the Basic button to end creating relations between icons.
The Basic button is now selected.
(2) Relating more than two units consecutively
To relate more than two units:
- In the map area of the Jobnet Editor window, display the jobnet that contains the units you want to relate.
- Select Exclusive edit.
- Click the Make Consecutive Relations button.
The Make Consecutive Relations button is now selected.
- Click the icons starting from the first unit to be executed.
When you click an icon, it is selected.
A black or red arrow appears between icons.
- Click the mouse in the desired place in the map area.
The icon that is clicked last is deselected.
- End relating icons.
- Click the Basic button to end creating relations between icons.
The Basic button is now selected.
(3) Relating multiple units from one unit
To relate multiple units from one unit:
- In the map area of the Jobnet Editor window, display the jobnet that contains the units you want to relate.
- Select Exclusive edit.
- Click the Make Relation button.
The Make Relation button is now selected.
- Click the icon for the unit to be executed first.
A line is drawn from the icon toward the pointer.
- Drag the pointer across the icons of the units to be executed subsequently.
The icons are selected.
A black or red arrow appears between icons.
- Click the Basic button to end creating relations between icons.
The Basic button is now selected.
(4) Relating multiple units to one unit
To relate multiple units to one unit:
- In the map area of the Jobnet Editor window, display the jobnet that contains the units you want to relate.
- Select Exclusive edit.
- Click the Make Relation button.
The Make Relation button is now selected.
- Use either of the following methods to select the icons for the units to be executed first:
If you perform either of these operations on icons that have already been selected while you are holding down the Shift key, the selection will be cleared.
- Use a mouse-drag operation to surround the target icons.
- Holding down the Shift key, click the target icons.
- Press the Shift key, and then release it. If the key has already been pressed, release it.
Lines are drawn from the selected icons toward the pointer.
- Click the icon for the unit that you want to execute next after the selected units.
Multiple relations are set simultaneously.
- Click the Basic button to end creating relations between icons.
The Basic button is now selected.
(5) Relating a judgment job and a subordinate job
To relate a judgment job with a subordinate job:
- In the map area of the Jobnet Editor window, display the jobnet that contains the units you want to relate.
- Select Exclusive edit.
- Click the Make Conditional Relations button.
The Make Conditional Relations button is now selected.
- Click a judgment job icon and then a subordinate job icon.
When you click an icon, it is selected.
A blue arrow with pointed ends on both sides appears between icons.
- Click the mouse in the desired place in the map area.
The icon that is clicked later is deselected.
- Click the Basic button to end creating relations between icons.
The Basic button is now selected.
To cancel a relation:
- In the map area of the Jobnet Editor window, display the jobnet that contains the units whose relation you want to cancel.
- Select Exclusive edit.
- Click the Break Relation button.
The Break Relation button is now selected.
- Click the arrow with one pointed end or two pointed ends between the icons whose relation you want to cancel.
The arrow is erased.
- Click the Basic button to end creating relations between icons.
The Basic button is now selected.
