4.3.4 Environment settings for JP1/AJS3 Console

This subsection describes the environment settings related to JP1/AJS3 - Console.

For details about performing these settings, see 4.2 Environment setting parameter settings in the Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide 1 (for Windows systems) or 13.2 Environment setting parameter settings in the Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide 1 (for UNIX systems).

Determine the environment settings for JP1/AJS3 - Console, referring to the recommended values and setting criteria given in the following tables.

Set values in the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager environment definition file (ajs2cm.conf).

Change this parameter, and the retry count value, according to the communication error status (unit: seconds). Use the default (1). When the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager service is restarted

Change this parameter, and the retry interval value, according to the communication error status. Use the default (3). When the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager service is restarted

Connection timeout

No particular criteria (unit: minutes). Use the default (120). When the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager service is restarted

Severity level of messages output to the integrated trace log
HNTRLOGLEVEL
Specify this parameter if you want to output more detailed information to the integrated trace log. Use the default. When the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager service is restarted

Data directory name
DATADIRECTORY
Specify this parameter if you want to store definition data in a directory other than the default directory. Use the default. When the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager service is restarted

Retry interval for connection to JP1/AJS3 Console Agent
RECONNECTINTERVAL
Specify this parameter if you want to change the retry interval for connecting to the JP1/AJS3 Console Agent to be monitored (unit: seconds). Use the default (300). When the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager service is restarted

Name of the trace log file
TRACELOGFILE
No particular criteria. Use the default. When the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager service is restarted

Timeout for remote connection
IPC_CONNECTTIMEOUT
No particular criteria (seconds). Use the default (20). When the JP1/AJS3 Console Manager service is restarted
