[Figure]

The following describes the items displayed on the General page of the System Environment Settings window.

Editing list
Clicking this button displays the Event Acquisition Conditions List window, which can be used to edit an event acquisition filter.
If the event acquisition filter is operating in Compatible mode, this button is disabled.

A filter is being applied
The currently used event acquisition filter is displayed in the box.
The drop-down list can be used to change the event acquisition filter. If the user selects an event acquisition filter from the drop-down list and then clicks Apply, the event acquisition conditions of the selected filter will be used.
If the current event acquisition filter is operating in Compatible mode, the drop-down list is disabled and Existing filter condition is displayed.

Configure
Clicking this button displays a window for setting or changing the event acquisition filter conditions (the conditions for acquiring events from the event service).
When the user selects an event acquisition filter from the drop-down list under A filter is being applied and clicks the Configure button, the Event acquisition conditions window or the Event Acquisition Settings (for compatibility) window appears.
The Event Acquisition Settings (for compatibility) window appears when the event acquisition filter is operating in Compatible mode.

Common exclusion-conditions groups
This area displays the common exclusion-conditions groups.
When the user selects and double-clicks an item in the list, the Common exclusion-conditions groups window opens so that the selected item can be edited.
A maximum of 30 condition groups can be set.
The user can sort the common exclusion-conditions groups list by clicking the Apply or Condition group name column header. If the user clicks a column header once, the [Figure] icon is displayed in the column header. If the user clicks the column header again, the [Figure] icon is displayed. If the user clicks the column header a third time, no icon is displayed. If the [Figure] icon or the [Figure] icon is displayed, and the user clicks another column header, the current sorting is canceled and the list is sorted on the other column.
  • No icon: The condition groups are sorted in the order they were added to the list.
  • [Figure]: The condition groups are sorted in ascending order.
  • [Figure] : The condition groups are sorted in descending order.

Apply
The common exclusion-conditions groups that the user selected are applied.

Condition group name
The condition group names of the common exclusion-conditions groups are displayed. The user can change the condition group name in the Common Exclusion-Conditions Settings window.

Configure
Clicking this button displays the Common Exclusion-Conditions Settings window, in which the user can edit the conditions of the selected common exclusion-conditions groups.

Event buffer
Specifies how many events extracted from the event service can be stored in a JP1/IM - Manager buffer. The range of specifiable values is from 10 to 2000. The default is 500.
If the specified value is too small, the Event Console window might not be able to display all events.
If the specified value is too large when JP1/IM - View is started, the Event Console window might take longer to appear.
Before setting the event buffer, the user must estimate the amount of required memory for Central Console, and must check the amount of free space on the machine resource. For details about the formula for estimating the amount of required memory, see the Release Notes for JP1/IM - View.

Apply
Clicking this button applies the settings. The maximum length of the event acquisition filter is 64 KB when exclusion-conditions groups or the common exclusion-conditions groups that are being applied have been set. When they have not been set, the maximum length is 60 KB. If the event acquisition filter is longer than the maximum length, an error dialog box displaying the message KAVB0246-E appears when the OK button is clicked. If the error dialog box appears, the filter condition settings must be reviewed. For details about how to estimate the length of a filter condition statement, see the Release Notes for JP1/IM - View.
