uCosminexus Application Server, System Setup and Operation Guide
Use of a logical user server enables the Management Server to manage any user defined process.
When you use Smart Composer functionality, define the logical user server in the Easy Setup definition file. You cannot define a logical user server in the Management Portal. However, you can perform operations like Start, Stop, and Monitoring for the defined logical user server. To use logical user server on the Management portal, you must first define the logical user server in a file, and then based on the file, set up the logical user server by using the management command.
Following figure shows the configuration example of the system to which the logical user server is to be allocated. The subsection describes the method of allocating logical user server to the system set up in 4.1 System setup for improving machine performance by allocating Web server to a different host
Figure 4-9 Configuration example of the system for allocating the logical user server
Following table describes the settings used in the example.
Table 4-29 Settings used in the example (Logical user server allocation)
| Classification | Item | Example of settings |
|---|---|---|
| Entire system | Easy Setup definition file name | MyWebSystemDef.xml |
| Web system name | MyWebSystem | |
| Service unit name | unit1 | |
| Host for allocating the Web server | Host name | apsv1 |
| IP Address (Management IP Address)# | 192.168.100.11 | |
| Logical user server name | UserServer1 | |
| Host for allocating the J2EE server | Host name | apsv2 |
| IP Address (Management IP Address)# | 192.168.100.12 | |
| Logical user server name | UserServer2 |
The following table describes the tasks to be executed when setting up a system for allocating to the logical user server, and the necessity of the tasks
