If the setting for this item was changed, the computer must be restarted.

In Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, the Remote Control Agent icon is not displayed on the taskbar. If you want to display the icon on the taskbar, choose Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, and then Customize icons on the taskbar. Next, select Show icon and notifications for Behaviors for the Remote Control Agent icon.

Enable termination of the agent
Select this check box to enable a manual termination of Remote Control Agent. Selecting this option will activate the Exit menu of Remote Control Agent. This option is selected by default.

(2) Mode

This facility allows you to set the remote control mode for the agent. The default setting is Shared.

When the mode specified here does not agree with the mode defined for the controller, they will be adjusted according to set rules. For details on the remote control mode, see 3.1 Remote control mode. An agent in the view mode does not accept local operations, and thus will not allow you to modify the mode in this dialog box. For details on how to change the remote control mode for a system in the view mode, see 3.1.2 Changing the remote control mode of the agent in the view mode.

View
Restricts you to viewing the screen of the agent (local machine). You cannot make screen operations. The agent assumes this mode when the connected controller is in the exclusive mode.

Shared
Allows you to operate the agent from both the controller and agent.

Exclusive
Denies any operations from the controller, and allows only the agent user to operate the agent.
