3.3.8 Setting the programs to be executed after installation

JP1/Software Distribution Administrator Kit allows you to set the programs to be automatically executed after installing JP1/Software Distribution Client by executing Client Tool. You can make this setting in the Executing Files page. Use this page if you want to automatically execute the user-created programs after installing JP1/Software Distribution Client.

Note
If you create an installation set for an FTP sever and execute Client Tool in that installation set, the executable files specified in this Executing Files page remain in the temporary directory. Delete them if they are unnecessary.

(2) Components of the Executing Files page

The components of the Executing Files page are as follows.

(a) File text box

Specify the path of the executable file and the path of the files that are required for execution. Use the Browse button to specify them. You can specify no more than 255 characters for the path of the executable file or the path of the file required for execution.

In the Copying Files page, you cannot specify more than one file that you specify in the Executing Files page.
(b) Files list

This list displays the executable files and the files the system requires for execution.

(c) Add button

This button adds the file specified in the File text box to the Files list.

(d) Delete button

Use this button to delete a file added in the Files list. Select the desired file in the Files list and click the Delete button. When you click the button, the selected file is deleted from the Files list.

(e) V button

Use this button to add an executable file in the Files list to Files to be executed. Select the desired executable file in the Files list and click the V button. When you click the V button, a dialog box appears for specifying arguments. You can specify arguments consisting of no more than 255 characters. Specify the arguments, and then click the OK button in the dialog box to register the executable file in the Files to be executed list with the arguments.

(f) Files to be executed list

This list displays the names of executable files and their arguments, and indicates the execution sequence of the executable files.

(g) Edit button

Use this button to change the arguments of an executable file registered in the Files to be executed list. Select the desired executable file in the Files to be executed list and then click the Edit button. When you click the Edit button, a dialog box appears for specifying arguments in the same manner as when you click the V button. You can specify arguments consisting of no more than 255 characters. Change the arguments, and then click the OK button to apply the change to the Files to be executed list.

(h) Delete button

Use this button to delete an executable file registered in the Files to be executed list. Select the desired executable file in the Files to be executed list and click the Delete button. When you click the button, the system deletes the selected executable file from the Files to be executed list.

(i) Up button

Use this button to change the execution sequence of the executable files registered in the Files to be executed list. Select the desired executable file in the Files to be executed list and click the Up button. When you click the Up button, the system moves the selected file up one in the order of execution.

(j) Down button

Use this button to change the execution sequence of the executable files registered in the Files to be executed list. Select the desired executable file in the Files to be executed list and click the Down button. When you click the Down button, the system moves the selected file down one in the order of execution.
