3.3.7 Setting the files to be copied at installation

JP1/Software Distribution Administrator Kit allows you to set the files you want to copy to the client machine at the time when you install JP1/Software Distribution Client by executing Client Tool. You can make this setting in the Copying Files page. Use this page if you want to copy the user-created programs and files into the client machines when installing JP1/Software Distribution Client.

(2) Components of the Copying Files page

The components of the Copying Files page are as follows.

(a) Copy file text box

In this text box, specify the file you want to copy. Use the Browse button to specify it.

In the Executing Files page, you cannot specify more than one file that you specify in the Copying Files page.
(b) To directory combo box

Specify the destination directory where you want to copy the file specified in the Copy file text box when installing JP1/Software Distribution Client. You can specify no more than 255 characters for the path of the directory. You can also select the following directories using this combo box.

Installation destination directory of JP1/Software Distribution Client

%WINDOWS%
Installation destination directory of Windows

%SYSTEM%
system or system32 directory in the installation destination directory of Windows

To specify a directory in one of the above three directories, use \ as a delimiter. For example, when you specify the REG directory in the installation destination directory of JP1/Software Distribution Client, you specify %NETMDMP%\REG.

(c) Add button

This button adds the file specified in the Copy file text box and the directory specified in the To directory text box to the Copying files list.

(d) Change button

Use this button to change the copy file added in the Copying files list. Select the desired copy source file in the Copying files list. The corresponding setting information is displayed in the Copy file text box and the To directory text box. When you change the displayed setting information and click the Change button, the setting information of the selected copy source file is changed to the information specified in the Copy file text box and the To directory combo box.

(e) Delete button

Use this button to delete a copy file added in the Copying files list. Select the desired copy source file in the Copying files list and click the Delete button. When you click the button, the system deletes the selected copy source file.

(f) Copying files list

This list displays the files to be copied when installing JP1/Software Distribution Client as well as the copy destination directories. When you select a copy source file in this list, the system displays the corresponding information in the Copy file text box and the To directory combo box.
